We’re experiencing sweet & delicate with notes of vanilla blossom, honeydew & white grape.
Producer: Multiple
Location: La Muralla, San Augstín, 1700-1900masl
Genetic Varieties: Gesha
Process: Washed
Importing Partner: Osito Coffee
Over the last few years, Osito has seen an explosion of new varieties in Huila. Specifically, Gesha and Pink Bourbon. Very often the lot sizes that are received are very small and virtually unmanageable if left unblended. Therefore, they’ve taken it upon themselves to innovate a bit and create community lots (blends) of single 'boutique' varieties in order to 1) continue paying producers high prices even though the lots, by themselves, are rather untenable and 2) create high scoring community lots of unique varieties at a slightly more approachable price point for roasters. This particular coffee is the product of both the growers and Osito’s innovation.
